He is a graduate of the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia (Sergey Bratkov's studio).
Egor Fedorychev experiments with traditional forms of Art, including painting. He appropriates and transforms non-art materials in his works, balancing between sculpture and collage, painting and object. Fedorychev uses industrial materials – banners from old exhibitions and concerts, wrapping with half-erased names of construction companies, pieces of industrial fabric from building sites – to make political and socio-cultural statements within a certain historical context. Moreover, he turns to traditional techniques, employing "intuitive painting", to offer his own ways of visualising music and poetry.
Egor Fedorychev studied at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), and perhaps that is why the artist's installations resemble theatre sets. Besides that, Fedorychev works not only with the spatial and visual aspects of an exposition, but also with the acoustics.
In 2018, he was a Nominee of the State Prize in Contemporary Art "Innovation-2018", in the category "New Generation".
